  Board vs face to face

  i was wondering, would you say the same thing in person that you say on this board.

  i dont say anything on this board, i wouldnt say to a person to their face.

  When I first got on this board I found myself acting like an ass and saying things I would never say face to face. Even things I did not believe. After a few days I didn't like what I was becoming. I thought maturity of posters like DakotaRed and Seven006 to be more to my liking. So I decided to change and try to be more genuine. Others I think maybe due to pride or trying to be funny become something they are not. It's al an act. The worst become trolls.

  5 months this coming Tuesday. My secret? My jealous JW ex wife has not found out yet (Even though she has be stalking me for more than 2 1/2 years). Nothing like having a good future disfellowshiping hanging over your head. Yes I know this thread is about "long term marriage secrets of success" but I had to tell someone.

  mikepence threatened to sue me / contributions

  as you may or may not be aware the poster 'mikepence' has asked people to donate to enable him (and his family?

  ) to travel to the silentlambs march and to file charges against their alleged abuser.

  because he seemed to suddenly become very opposed to the idea of attending the march, i and some others asked him what i thought were simple and reasonable questions.

  i rarely receive any negative e-mail, but i did receive a rather interesting e-mail within the last 48 hours.. .

  then that person told me that a ms who was allegedly "on the fringes" was guided by him/her to this board and happened to see me use a rather colorful, but made-up metaphor, namely "dipf***.

  " the dub was horrified and scared away never to return because of that and also because of what he saw on some other debate another well-known poster was engaged with.

  that is how i see a life spent believing and pushing a lie.

  i was looking for something to do with counting time for publishers and put that in my search on the wt cd and one of the things that came up was the life story of a man who had given his life to brooklyn thinking he was giving it to god.

  Selective Banning

  i hate to see people get banned or silenced - even the people who are causing trouble.

  when it comes to regulations, i could almost be described as libertarian.

  because of this i would like to make a proposal - instead of leaving the banning power in the hands of a central authority, i propose that banning be placed in the hands of the individual.

  A few problems with this idea as I see it. Some people would take it upon themselves to suggest who is to be banned. Campaign if you will. This could happen for purely personel or political reasons. The other problem is that people may act in haste. The person you ban today may have become your friend and ally tommorow
